Future Challenge *makes spaceship buzzing noises*

Before I completely get sidetracked and forget what I’m supposed to do.Here’s the rules:

Thank the blogger who nominated you. Thanks Confused Apple! πŸ˜€ A blogger I have had the pleasure of just recently discovering. Needless to say I’m still reeling under that pleasure. πŸ™‚

Link back to the challenge creator, Dreams and Movie Screens so she can track your progress.

Share 5 things about your future (jobs, kids, marriage, travel etc). Then one day you can look back and find out how psychic you really are.

Wow, this is going to be hard. I have thought of the future but I don’t being Iron Man’s girlfriend and racing up to the peak of Burj Khalifa in a suit that he designed especially for me is what the creator of this challenge intended. So here goes:

1. I’ll still be studying.
I’m a medical student. Enough said.

2. I’ll hopefully be love with my husband.
My culture is notorious for arranged marriages. If it’s too much to hope for marrying a man I love, I atleast hope I’ll fall in love with the man I marry.

3. Kids..mm! I have always felt strongly about adopting since my family friend adopted a daughter in their late fifties after losing theirs to an accident. The responses most of my educated relatives gave were so..there are no words to describe them. “Blood will be blood.” “Can you imagine bringing someone with no proper background into your house?” She’ll be Aaria or he-Aarya. πŸ™‚

4. I won’t be in India.
It’s a beautiful country and I’m sorry to generalise but this is just my opinion, alone. I have far too many relatives here and I don’t want to live tiptoeing my whole life so as to not do something to offend them. It’s not that I actually care about offending people that have rather sad perceptions about how a girl/boy should act in society. But my parents will inevitably be hurt in the crossfire. I don’t want Aaria/Aarya to worry grow up conforming to ignorant views.

5. I’ll be happy.
I’m not expecting to wake up singing songs.Β  As long as I’m surrounded by friends and family that love me and will be with me through each step and tumble I take in life, that’s enough. πŸ™‚

There that’s all!
Now for the fun part! I nominate

Get out those crystal balls, you have work to do. πŸ˜‰

  2. My cousin was adopted. At first I was like, “Cool she is an adopted child, whooaaa,” but now after so long it’s so hard to see her as not a blood relative. πŸ™‚ If anyone says “Blood will be blood” to my cousin, I have to fight them D:

  3. Indians are always concerned about how girls should act, what will society say, and your blood child is always more important than an adopted one. Its sad that some are still caught up in this backward thinking
